Never put off till tomorrow what may be done day after tomorrow just as well.
Mark Twain
Years ago, in one of the MANY on-line and in-the-flesh workshops I took with Alyson Stanfield, she suggested that we choose a word for the year. One word that would clarify, energize and inspire whenever it was invoked.
Each year it’s a challenge to choose a new word, but this year the perfect word hit me between the eyes: Maintenant. It means NOW in French. It comes from the French verb: maintenir:
• to stick to
• to persist
Just say it!
Poof! The word dissolves procrastination.
Poof! The word empowers decision making.
Poof! The word gets the job done.
We’re already almost halfway through 2016. Can you believe it? I’d better get back to work MAINTENANT!
I’m crazy busy this week getting ready for the Aartz West Grand Opening this Friday. There will be light refreshments, fun activities and door prizes.
Hope you can join us!
Maintenant is a great word. You know I’m all about action. When a client says they’ll do something by the end of next week, I usually ask, “Why don’t you do it now? As soon as we get off the phone?”
Don’t delay! Start today!
Love this pic – I don’t think I have it.
I’ll send it to you,
Alyson!
