From Liza's "Hope Entwined" Series
Hope Entwined IV depicts a vision of the nest of a common yellowthroat in which Peruvian artifacts are entwined: a golden Incan necklace of owls, a tiny stone owl fetish, and an ammonite from the high Andes.
While this would never actually occur - common yellow throats are tiny birds which nest in the northern hemisphere, the metaphor is simple. Migratory birds connect the continents, transcending cultural and political borders.
Above the nest hovers a blue morpho butterfly which Liza has seen in rainforests stretching from Southern Mexico to Northern Argentina.
The original 22" x 22" is available.
Also available in limited addition giclée on canvas.
