Don’t hide your light under a bushel.
Matthew 5:15
(paraphrased)
Good News!
Studio Visit, a juried, highly-respected, national publication has included my work in Volume 32! They distribute the book to galleries nationwide.
Jurying in was a lengthy process, all on-line of course. First I sent in the jpegs for the jury, then waited eons to hear from them!
When accepted I had to send in the final jpegs and text for my pages. It’s always hard to write a statement that encapsulates the essence and intent of your own work. It feels a bit like boasting or flaunting. But I decided not to hide my light under a bushel and got it done.
How else will the world find out how wonderful my work is?
I’m also very happy to give a shout out to the three galleries that currently represent my work: Gallery in the Woods in Brattleboro VT, The Brandon Artists Guild in Brandon VT and True West Gallery in Santa Fe NM.
And here are my two pages! (The odd gleam on the breast of the raven is just that: a reflection of light coming in the window onto the page.)
I’m very happy!
What do you think?
Congrats! Your work shows well, your statement captures the essence of your beautiful paintings. Job well done!
Congratulations, Liza! You SHOULD be happy! Anyone would be happy with a spread like that — and two of my favorites of your pieces. I very much like your artist statement, too!
Three cheers!
