It has been my pleasure every summer for the past 12 years, to share creative processes with students ages 7 to 17 in my Summer Aartz Camps.

It works wonderfully well to have a wide range of ages in the group. The older kids forge ahead with their own interpretation of the projects but usually pitch in to assist the younger artists with technical challenges as well.

The older students are often inspired by the sense of fearlessness and freedom that the younger artists exhibit with their creativity.

I know I always am!

You can see an explanation of the sequence of projects  and some great photos here.

We’ve just finished two weeks of Summer Aartz in my Vermont studio in Brandon. This week I am unexpectedly running a Clay Camp at the Long Trail School in Dorset, VT. IMG_6782

I’m looking forward to opening a teaching studio for children and adults in Santa Fe!
