I am moving my Studio!!!!

Liza in Granary Studio

Lots of great work and great times have begun in my studio in the Granary.

We keep moving forward,
opening new doors,
and doing new things,
because we’re curious
and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.
-Walt Disney

GROAN!
I am moving!
But it’s the grunt work of the move that is daunting. The editing and decision making and tossing of things that once seemed indispensable! Once that’s done there will be a fresh start, room to breathe!

Of course, this move is not opening a new door. I had my studio in this exact space before and loved it. It worked well for me in many ways. When I had to move out I was quite reluctant. But it made sense to do it then.

And now I am sad to leave my airy, bright, large studio in the Granary in Brandon.

The door from the park is under the mural.

But it makes good sense again for many reasons. And I’m excited to be back in the studio on the ground floor of the Gallery in the middle of town. The door and windows open onto the park.

Just look for me under the sunflower mural at:

Liza Myers Gallery
22 Center Street,
Brandon, Vermont!

Still, the Granary has been such a wonderful place nurturing both my creativity and feeding the muses of many students over the 5 years I’ve been there. It’s very hard to select from the hundreds of photos I’ve taken over the five years I’ve been here, but here are a very few of the wonderful moments at the Granary and  few of my studio in the Gallery. See you there!

LET YOUR MUSE COME OUT AND PLAY!

This whole move sounds exhausting, but what an inviting studio you have! Best wishes!

Great photos, Liza! How fab to see all your happy students and the wonderful work they produced under your tutelage. You’re a whirlwind, that’s for sure so you’ll soon Mary Poppins everything over to the other place and be back producing masterpieces before I’ve had time to put the kettle on 😉 May the Muse go too!

  3. Glad I was able to find your blog Liza! It’s great, and I love the pics of the little ones exploring art!

Look forward to reading more! Have a great day!!!

The first half is gathering, the second half consolidating! Must be in the wind. I’m dumpster comparison shopping today. Sounds like a good move for you and Jim – soon just a yell away.

Thanks Robin! It’s slow but steady… Yes, a yell from me or a stomp on the gallery floor from him!

I just found out that you are/have moved. I hope you didn’t have any damage to your studio in the floods from Irene. Thinking of you & all of the small businesses & homes in Vermont!

I haven’t moved away- I’m teaching for the semester in Santa Fe and the south west. The flood was horrible- we were hit directly. i’ll write more about it later.
